Step 2: Center yourself and/or cast a circle as your practice calls for.


Step 3: As you tie the knots use this traditional incantation or write your own:


"By knot of one, the spell’s begun


By knot of two, my will be true


By knot of three, so it shall be


By knot of four, it's strengthened more


By knot of five, the magick’s alive


By knot of six, the spell is fixed


By knot of seven, this spell I leaven


By knot of eight, my will is fate


By knot of nine, success is mine"


Step 4: Decide if you want to carry your cord with you or store it in a safe place. If you no longer wish for the spell to come to fruition, you may untie the knots.
