Citrine is a stone of the Solar Plexus Chakra. It promotes feelings of positivity and joy, creativity and willpower, it increases luck and abundance, and carries and essence of fun. This makes citrine a wonderful stone for the summer months or any time really. This cocktail below is inspired by the vibrant energy and golden hues of the citrine crystal. This delightful drink combines citrusy flavors and sparkling effervescence to capture the essence of the crystal. Please note, the alcohol is optional. This drink will taste amazing with or without it. Please see the suggestions below for substitutions.
Ingredients:
1.5 ounces vodka (optional)
1 ounce orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Grand Marnier) (optional)
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
1/2 ounce honey syrup (equal parts honey and water)
4-5 dashes orange bitters
Club soda or sparkling water
Ice cubes
Orange peel or lemon twist (for garnish)Make
Citrine crystal (thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, for garnish)
Instructions:
In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, orange liqueur, fresh lemon juice, honey syrup, and orange bitters.
Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill the mixture and blend the flavors.
Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass of your choice (such as a coupe or a highball glass) filled with ice.
Top off the glass with club soda or sparkling water, adding a refreshing effervescence to the cocktail.
Wave your Citrine Crystal over your glass in a clockwise motion 3 times. Say a blessing or affirmation as you do, if it feels right.
